Detour: City Centre Bus Routes - Diwali Festival

The Auckland Diwali Festival is taking place across Queen Street and Aotea Square in the city centre this weekend. From 7pm on Friday 30 October to 6am on Monday 2 November, road closures will be in place on Queen Street and Wakefield Street. City centre buses will be detoured around the event, and multiple bus stops will be missed. Use Journey Planner to find your transport options and check Live Departures for up-to-date schedule information. The Auckland Marathon is also taking place on Sunday 1 November and will finish at Victoria Park. Expect increased traffic across the weekend due to these events and make sure to plan ahead before you travel.
