Student Ticket and Card: top up from 1 September 2026

ANNOUNCEMENT   2026.      From Tuesday 1 September 2026, you can top up your Annual Student Ticket for the new school year. Students who are eligible for a Free Student Card should visit a Ticket Office to have their new card issued. All other students can top up the €30 Annual Student Ticket, which provides unlimited trips throughout the entire school year. Students who had an Annual Student Ticket during the previous school year can top up their card through our website from 01/09/2026. Students who did not have an Annual Student Ticket during the previous school year should visit a Ticket Office in their city. Required Documents for Student Card Issuance: All students must present an Identity Card or Birth Certificate and an Original Confirmation Letter from their school. Minors under the care of YKE must present the relevant confirmation. For the issuance of a Free Student Card:  An original certificate from the school confirming that the student is a recipient of the Minimum Guaranteed Income (EEE) or is a student in financial need.  For students from five-member and large families, a P.O.P.O. or P.O.P. card for 2026. Important Information:  All Annual Student Cards are issued with an expiry date of 31/08/2027.  An additional €5 fee applies for the plastic card.  On the bus, only the €1.20 single-fare ticket, payable in cash, is available.  The Student Card must be activated on an Urban bus within a period of less than two months.  Always keep the receipt in case of any system issues.
