Route 25: Detour on Demokratias Street, stops 6–12 closed

Demokratias Street in Nicosia closes for roadworks from 20:00 on 25/08/2026 to 05:30 on 26/08/2026. Route 25 will take a detour towards Strovolos Station and skip stops 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 during these hours.

What changes

New route

Route 25 heading to Strovolos Station will turn left onto Stavrou Street instead of continuing on Demokratias Street. From Iosif Hadjiiosif Street, the bus goes straight ahead and turns left at the traffic lights onto Stavrou Street, then resumes its normal route.

Stops affected

These stops will not be served: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

ANNOUNCEMENT Demokratias Street in Nicosia will be closed due to roadworks from 20:00 on 25/08/2026 until 05:30 on 26/08/2026, and Route 25 will be affected. The route while operating towards Strovolos Station, will follow the following diversion. From Iosif Hadjiiosif Street, the route will continue straight ahead, skipping the right turn, and at the traffic lights it will proceed left onto Stavrou Street, from where it will continue its normal route, as shown with blue on the map below. Bus stops 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 will not be served during the specified hours.
