Strovolos Avenue closure: Routes 1, 2, 19, 23, 24, 25, 27, 44 detour

ANNOUNCEMENT On Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 06:00 to 17:00, Strovolos Avenue, between its junctions with Alexandroupoleos Street and Pythonos Street, will remain closed. Routes 1, 2, 19, 23, 24, 25, 27 and 44 are affected. Routes 1 & 2 (From Makario Station) From Strovolou Avenue buses will follow Kantaras Street - Parnassou - Tseriou Avenue - Irakleous - Athinon (Stavrou) - Strovolou Avenue, and continue the route normally. They will follow the blue line on the map below. Routes 1 & 2 (From Solomou Square) From Strovolou Avenue buses will follow Tseriou Street - Charalambou Pettemeridi - Strovolou Avenue and then continue the route normally. The route will follow the green line on the map below. Routes 19 From Strovolos Station buses will follow Strovolou Avenue - Evzonon - Elaionon - Makedonitissis - Kyriakou Matsi and continue the route normally. It will follow the blue line on the map below. Routes 23 From Strovolos Station buses will follow Kantaras Street - Parnassou- Tseriou Avenue and then continue the route normally. It will follow the blue line on the map below. Routes 24 From Strovolos Station will follow Kantaras Street - Parnassou - Tseriou Avenue – Konstantinoupoleos and continue the route normally. It will follow the blue line on the map below. Routes 25, 27, 44 (From Strovolos Station From Strovolos Station will follow Kantaras Street - Parnassou - Tseriou Avenue - Irakleous - Athinon (Stavrou) - Strovolou Avenue and continue the route normally. Route 25 will continue normally from Athinon (Stavrou) Street, as shown in green on the map below. Routes 25, 27 (From General Hospital) & 44 (From University of Cyprus) From Strovolou Avenue will follow Tseriou Street - Charalambou Pettemeridi - Strovolou Avenue and enter Strovolos Station, as shown in blue on the map below.
