Fare changes announced for 2027 — The NTA Fares Determination 2026 raises adult fares by about 15% on average from January 2027 — the first general increase since 2018: TFI 90 Minute Fare €2.00 → €2.30 (young adult €1.15, child €0.75), Dublin daily cap €6.00 → €6.90, weekly cap €24.00 → €27.60, town Leap single €1.50 → €1.65. How the intercity timetable works on Buses
We collect approved intercity timetables and turn them into the lists a traveller needs: departures from a station, routes between two cities and operator pages. The database currently holds 11194 departures, 3091 bus stations and 69 operators.
Every departure has its own page: departure and arrival time, duration, distance, days of operation, the timetable for all stops and the route on the map. From there you can move on to the route, the station or the operator.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the intercity data come from?
From Transport for Ireland / National Transport Authority (transportforireland.ie, open data under CC BY 4.0), which publishes the official intercity timetables. We import them every day; each departure lists its line and dates of operation.
How do I find a departure for my trip?
Use the search above: pick where you travel from and to. You get every departure on that route with travel time and operator.
Can I buy tickets on the site?
No. Buses is a timetable, not a ticket shop. Tickets are bought at the bus station or from the operator.
How reliable are the times?
Times are taken from the official timetable and refreshed every day. An operator can still change them, so check the departure at the station before travelling.
