The statue of Liberty stands above a group of figures of prisoners leaving a jail, freed, with fighters and ordinary people around them. The monument stands on the Podocataro bastion of the walls.
It is on the eastern side of the old town, close to the Archbishop’s Palace and the Famagusta Gate.
