buses.app now covers New Caledonia. For Nouméa and its neighbouring communes you get bus timetables, stops, a network map, fares and a visitor guide, in English, Greek and German.
Which area is covered?
The Nouméa page covers Grand Nouméa, the four communes served by the Tanéo network: Nouméa, Dumbéa, Mont-Dore and Païta. Our timetables include all 13 Tanéo lines: the Néobus line L1, the main lines L2, L3, L4, L5, L7 and L8, and the local lines N1, N2, D2, D4, P1 and P2.
The Néobus L1, a bus rapid transit line opened in 2019, links Place Moselle in central Nouméa with Koutio, Dumbéa Centre and the Médipôle hospital in Dumbéa. Line L3 is the one for the beaches: it runs through the city centre to the Baie des Citrons, Anse Vata and the Ouen Toro.
Is there live data?
No. Tanéo does not publish real-time vehicle data, so buses.app shows the scheduled departure times from the official timetables. In the current timetables buses run from Monday to Saturday, from about 5:00 am on weekdays and 6:00 am on Saturdays until about 6:00 pm, with no Sunday service.
What does the ticket page show?
The Nouméa ticket page lists the official Tanéo fares in CFP francs (XPF), valid from 8 June 2026 and checked on 24 October 2026. A few examples:
- Every trip with a Pass Tanéo costs 500 F, with 1 hour 30 minutes of free transfers.
- The Pass Journée costs 1,500 F for unlimited travel for a day.
- Named passes have a monthly cap, for example 10,000 F for adults aged 27 to 59; after that, the rest of the month is free.
- There are no ticket sales on board, and you validate both when you get on and when you get off.
How to start
- Open Nouméa from the New Caledonia page.
- Find your line under routes, or search for your stop to see which lines call there.
- Check the ticket page before you travel: it tells you what to buy and where.
The guide section also covers the main sights of Nouméa with the nearest bus stops, and how to reach La Tontouta airport.
