What it is
The market is a morning market and is busiest early in the day. Besides locally grown fruit and vegetables there are stalls with meat, flowers and local crafts, and the fish market in its own building sells crabs, lobsters and other seafood.
It sits on the waterfront of Port Moselle, the marina at the southern edge of the city centre, so a visit combines easily with a walk to the Place des Cocotiers or the Museum of New Caledonia.
Getting there by bus
The Baie de la Moselle stop, about 80 m away, is served by lines L3, L4, L5, L7 and L8. Place Moselle, the central Tanéo terminus, is about 130 m to the north; Néobus line L1 and the local line N1 also stop there.
