buses.app Adds Ireland and Austria Bus Timetables

buses.app now covers Ireland and Austria as well as Cyprus. In one place you get bus, tram and train timetables, stops, network maps, fares and intercity connections for 37 cities in three countries, in English, Greek and German.

What is new on buses.app?

buses.app started as a guide to public transport in Cyprus. With this update the same tools work for 14 cities and towns in Ireland and 18 in Austria. Every city has its own section with a list of routes and timetables, a stop search, a network map and a ticket page with fares checked against the official sources. Each country also has an intercity section for travel between cities.

The site is available in three languages: English is the default, Greek lives under /el and German under /de. City and stop names are shown in the local form for each language, so Vienna becomes Wien in German and Βιέννη in Greek.

Which Irish cities are covered?

Dublin is the largest network: more than 200 bus lines, 16 night routes, the two Luas tram lines (Red and Green) and 8 rail lines, including the DART. With a TFI Leap Card one TFI 90 fare of €2.00 covers bus, Luas and DART journeys in the city zone for 90 minutes (at the time of writing, September 2026).

Outside Dublin you will find Cork with 23 city bus lines, Limerick with 14, Galway with 13 and Waterford with 9. Smaller town networks are included too: Dundalk (7 lines), Tralee (5), Drogheda, Sligo and Wexford (4 each), Athlone and Kilkenny (3 each), Navan and Carlow (2 each). Since 20 July 2026 Cork also has a TFI 90 fare, €1.70 with Leap.

Which Austrian cities are covered?

Vienna has the biggest network on buses.app: more than 140 bus lines, more than 30 tram lines, 5 U-Bahn lines, 18 rail lines and 32 night lines. A single ticket in the Vienna core zone costs €3.20 (€3.00 as a digital ticket) at the time of writing.

Graz follows with 47 bus lines, 15 tram lines and 9 night lines, then Linz (37 bus and 5 tram lines), Innsbruck (20 bus and 6 tram lines) and Salzburg (29 bus lines). Medium and smaller towns are covered as well: Villach, Klagenfurt, Dornbirn, St. Pölten, Wels, Steyr, Feldkirch, Wiener Neustadt, Bregenz, Krems, Leoben, Baden and Gmunden.

How does intercity travel work on buses.app?

Each country has an intercity section with routes between cities, operators, bus stations and departure boards:

• Ireland: more than 60 operators, more than 450 lines and more than 3,000 stops. The busiest relations in our data are Navan to Dublin, Drogheda to Dundalk and Dublin to Drogheda.
• Austria: more than 150 operators, more than 2,600 regional bus and rail lines and more than 27,000 stops. Bregenz to Dornbirn, Baden to Vienna and St. Pölten to Vienna are among the busiest links.
• Cyprus: Intercity Buses runs 9 lines with 101 stops; Nicosia to Limassol is the busiest relation.

What about Cyprus?

Everything that was there for Cyprus stays. Nicosia has 76 bus lines and 4 night lines, Limassol 89 bus lines, Paphos 42, Larnaca 37, and Ayia Napa with Paralimni 30. Cyprus and Ireland also have service update pages that list diversions and timetable changes announced by the operators.

Where do the fares on buses.app come from?

Every price on the ticket pages is taken from the official source, such as Transport for Ireland, the TFI Leap Card site, Wiener Linien or Intercity Buses in Cyprus, and each entry shows the date it was last checked. The current Irish and Austrian fares were checked on 26 September 2026. Where a change has already been announced, we say so: in Ireland, for example, the National Transport Authority has announced that the Dublin TFI 90 fare will rise from €2.00 to €2.30 in January 2027, and the daily cap from €6.00 to €6.90.

How to use buses.app for your next trip

1. Open the city you are travelling in, for example Dublin, Vienna or Nicosia.
2. Look up your line under routes, or search for your stop to see which lines call there.
3. Check the ticket page before you board: it tells you what a single, day and week ticket costs and where to buy it.
4. For trips between cities, start from the intercity section of the country and pick the relation, for example Dublin to Galway or Vienna to St. Pölten.

Fares and timetables change, so each ticket page shows the date the fares were last checked.
