Limassol’s city buses are run by EMEL and cover the town, the seafront, the suburbs and nearby villages. A single ticket costs €2.00 and a daily ticket €6.00, both bought on the bus. Below you will find the main lines, every fare and tips for finding your stop.
Who runs the buses in Limassol?
Urban and suburban buses in the Limassol district are operated by EMEL. Our timetable lists more than 80 bus lines plus one night line. All of them, with stops and departure times, are on the Limassol bus timetables page.
Two places come up again and again:
- EMEL Bus Station Leontiou A´ in the centre, where lines 7, 13, 15, 16 and 27 start and where circular line 32 begins and ends.
- MY MALL, the terminus of lines 7, 20, 21 and 30.
Which bus lines are the most useful in Limassol?
In our timetable the line with by far the most departures is line 30, between MY MALL and Megalou Alexandrou – Ex Le Meridien. At night it continues as line 30N, the only night line in Limassol in our data. Other lines worth knowing:
- Line 21: MY MALL – Spyrou Kyprianou Ave. – Christaki Kranou.
- Line 16: EMEL Bus Station Leontiou A´ – Kourion Beach.
- Line 15: EMEL Bus Station Leontiou A´ – General Hospital.
- Line 7: EMEL Bus Station Leontiou A´ – MY MALL.
- Line 32: a circular line from and to EMEL Bus Station Leontiou A´.
How much is a bus ticket in Limassol?
At the time of writing (September 2026), EMEL lists these fares:
- Single journey: €2.00, valid 04:00–21:00, paper ticket bought on the bus, no transfers.
- Night single: €3.00, 21:01–03:49.
- Daily ticket: €6.00, paper ticket bought on the bus.
- 7 days: €25.00 on a plastic Motion card.
- 30 days: €45.00 on a plastic Motion card. A yearly pass costs €450.00 (personalised card).
- Pancyprian pass: €20.00 for 1 day, €75 for 7 days, €225 for 30 days, valid on urban buses in all cities.

Are multi-trip cards worth it in Limassol?
EMEL sells paper multi-trip cards: 4 trips on the bus, and 8, 10, 20 or 40 trips at sales points. A trip never costs more than €2.00, and after 4 trips in a day the card works like a daily ticket, so you will not pay more than €6.00 for the day. Keep in mind that a multi-trip card is valid only in the district where you bought it.
If you stay a week or longer, a 7-day pass (€25.00) or a 30-day pass (€45.00) is usually cheaper. The personalised Motion card is issued free; the anonymous card costs up to €2.00 and has no discounts.
Discounts and free travel
Children under 6, soldiers, wheelchair users, blind people and their escorts, European Disability Card holders, low-income pensioners with the ministry card and families receiving public assistance travel free. University students, young people aged 6–18, school pupils and social card holders pay 50%. School pupils can also travel free with the Motion Student Card; school passes cost €5 per month or €30 per academic year. All of these need a personalised Motion card.
Where can I buy tickets in Limassol?
Single, night and daily paper tickets are sold on the bus. Motion cards and passes are sold at EMEL sales points, and cards can also be topped up online through JCC Smart.
How do I find my stop in Limassol?
Stop names in Limassol usually give the street and a landmark or cross street, for example “28 Oktovriou – Debenhams” on the seafront road or “Spyrou Kyprianou Ave. – Christaki Kranou”. How do I get from Limassol to other cities?
Intercity buses stop at New Port – Passenger Building and at Tzelal Bagiar – Ag. Antonios Church, the two busiest intercity stops in Limassol in our data. At the time of writing a single to Nicosia costs €5.00, and to Paphos or Larnaca €4.00.
