What it is
The Vonier family built up the collection over decades, and it fills three floors of the old mill: Rolls-Royce cars from the pre-war era, including vehicles once owned by royalty and celebrities, a restoration workshop where work can be watched, and a tea room in English style.
The Gütle is also the starting point for walks into the Rappenloch and Alploch gorges, with bridges and paths along the rushing Dornbirner Ach.
Getting there by bus
Line 177 runs from the town centre up the valley to Gütle, with the stop only a few metres from the museum; the ride from the Dornbirn Marktplatz area takes around 15 minutes.
The same line passes the Karren cable car valley station on the way, so the two can be combined.
