What it is
The church stands just north of the Stadtplatz. Its western portal survives from the Romanesque building, while the high Gothic choir was added in the 14th century; its windows, with scenes from the life of Christ and the saints, date from that time. The nave was remodelled in baroque style, and the tower got its onion cap in the 18th century.
The church is usually open during the day, and the quiet square around it makes a pleasant stop on a walk through the old town.
Getting there by bus
City bus 15 stops at Adlerstraße, about 130 metres away, and the Kaiser-Josef-Platz bus terminal, served by most city lines, is about five minutes' walk.
The Stadtplatz and the Burg are both just a few minutes away.
