What it is
Terrigal Beach curves north from the rocky headland towards Wamberal, and the southern corner, known as The Haven, is sheltered and popular with families, kayakers and snorkellers. The beach is patrolled by surf lifesavers in the warmer months.
The Skillion, a grassy headland that rises steeply to a cliff edge, is a short climb from The Haven and gives views along the coast, often with whales passing offshore in winter and spring. The Esplanade behind the beach is the centre of the village, with shops, restaurants and a hotel.
Getting there by bus
Routes 67 and 68, loop services from Gosford through Terrigal, stop at Terrigal Surf Life Saving Club on Terrigal Esplanade, right by the sand, and at Church St at Kurrawyba Ave and on Terrigal Drive near Barnhill Rd.
