What it is
Thomas Duff's Perpendicular Gothic church dominates the centre of Dundalk with its granite pinnacles and great east window. The interior was decorated around 1900 with Italian mosaics covering the sanctuary and side chapels, and a carved oak high altar and pulpit; it is the seat of the Archdiocese of Armagh's parish in the town.
The church is open during the day and is at its best when the sun lights the mosaics in the morning.
Getting there by bus
The church stands on the corner of Market Square and Roden Place, where most town buses stop (Dundalk and Roden Place stops). The bus station on the Long Walk is a five-minute walk.
The County Museum and the Courthouse are both two minutes away.
