What it is
The five-storey tower mill, painted white against the Slieve Mish mountains, was restored in the 1980s and grinds flour on demonstration days. The exhibition covers the mill's workings, the port of Blennerville that was Tralee's harbour before the canal, and the Jeanie Johnston emigrant ship that sailed from here to North America.
The canal towpath from Tralee to the mill is a flat 40-minute walk with views over the bay.
Getting there by bus
Blennerville is 3 km south-west of Tralee on the Dingle road. Buses towards Dingle and the town bus to Blennerville stop in the village a few minutes' walk from the mill (Blennerville stop).
The mill is closed in winter; check the season before you go.
