What it is
The park is the largest urban park in Kerry, with mature trees, lawns, a playground and the Garden of the Senses. The rose garden, replanted with thousands of bushes, is at its best in June and July, and the Rose of Tralee festival in August fills the park with music and a funfair.
It is a pleasant shortcut between Denny Street and the Kerry County Museum on one side and the Princes Street area on the other.
Getting there by bus
The main entrance is beside the Ashe Memorial Hall at the bottom of Denny Street, two minutes from the Square. Town buses stop on Denny Street a few minutes away (Tralee Denny Street stop), and the bus and railway station is a ten-minute walk.
The park closes at dusk.
