What it is

Kurrawa Beach lies between the high-rises of Broadbeach and the ocean, backed by Kurrawa Park with lawns, picnic shelters, playgrounds and a beachfront path that continues north to Surfers Paradise and south towards Burleigh Heads. The surf club patrols the beach, and swimming is safest between the flags.

Broadbeach Mall, with its restaurants and cafés, and the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre are a short walk inland.

Getting there by bus

Route 705 stops at Old Burleigh Rd at Kurrawa SLSC, right by the surf club, and on Surf Pde at Broadbeach Mall. The G:link light rail (L1) stops at Broadbeach North, about 550 metres away.

From Surfers Paradise the light rail takes only a few minutes.
