What it is
Together with the Queensland Art Gallery next door, GOMA forms QAGOMA. The building, with its long glass façades facing the river, holds Australian, Asian and Pacific art and hosts the Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art, as well as large touring exhibitions. It also houses the Australian Cinémathèque, which screens film programmes, and a library of art books.
The Kurilpa Bridge, a pedestrian and cycle bridge, starts beside the gallery and crosses to the city side of the river.
