What it is
Trinity College occupies a walled campus between College Green and Pearse Street. Front Square, the Campanile and the Georgian buildings around it are open to walk through, and the Old Library holds the Book of Kells, a ninth-century illuminated manuscript of the Gospels, along with the Long Room and its 200,000 old books.
The Book of Kells exhibition is the single most visited attraction in the city, so booking a time slot in advance is strongly advised.
Getting there by bus
Almost every cross-city bus passes College Green, Nassau Street or Pearse Street, and the Trinity and Nassau Street stops are within a couple of minutes' walk of Front Gate. The Dawson Luas stop (Green Line) is also close.
The campus is walkable from anywhere in the city centre, so combine it with Grafton Street or the National Museum on Kildare Street.
